The Model T is considered by most to be the single most important "milestone car"ever. It is a great way to own a piece of automotive, cultural and American history. Comes with the original operators manual! The car that put America on wheels. Produced from 1908 to 1924 known as the "Tin Lizzie", The Ford Motor Company did not build its first factory assembled pickup truck until 1925. But an impatient public was way ahead of Henry Ford by converting Model Ts and making their own pickups. Since the first Model T rolled off the assembly line in 1908, buyers often installed their own wooden beds, mostly being farmers.
This truck has been very well cared for and is in great condition. It features electric start, (1924 was the first year), original horn, pine wood for the box, and electric headlights with kerosene lanterns. The inside of the cab comes with brand new upholstery and a new top. The body is very nice and the paint is brand new. The pickup bed is in great condition.
The engine is in great running condition. The Model T is a rear-wheel drive vehicle. Its transmission is a planetary gear type billed as "three speed". In today's terms it is considered a two-speed, because one of the three speeds is reverse.
